With this, the total number of corona cases has reached 36,91,167. Of which 7,85,996 patients are still under treatment. While 28,39,883 people have recovered by beating the corona. The corona killed 819 people in a single day. The total number of deaths from corona in the country is 65,288.

On August 29, a record-breaking 78,761 new cases of the corona virus were reported. The relief, however, is that mortality and active case rates continue to decline. Mortality dropped to 1.78. In addition, the rate of active cases and those undergoing treatment has also come down to 22 per cent. Recovery rate is 77%. The recovery rate in India is steadily rising.

According to statistics, Maharashtra is at the top in the country in terms of active cases. It is followed by Tamil Nadu, Delhi at number three, Gujarat at number four and West Bengal at number five. This is the most active case in the five states. India ranks third in the world in terms of active cases.
