After China, India is the second country from where clinical researchers are outsourced. There is pressure on large companies in many countries of the US and European Union to reduce the expenditure on research and development, so biotech and pharma companies are outsourcing their work in India on a large scale.
By doing this, their expenditure is being reduced by 30-50 percent. Since Indians also have a good grasp on English, India is creating new dimensions in the field of research and development day by day. In addition to data management for clinical trials, outsourcing is also done for the manufacture and study of toxic slides by pharma companies.
Presently, about 120 clinical trials, 50 NIAT trials and 30-40 trials are being carried out in India. Anyway, the clinical research industry still needs a large number of CR professionals.
