History of Friendship Day

Friendship Day was established by Hall Hallmark in early 1919. It was a day when people celebrated their friendship by sending cards to each other, but by 1940 the market had dried up and, finally, it was completely dead. However, in 1998 Winnie the Pooh was named the world’s ambassador to the United Nations (believe it or not!), And in April 2011, the United Nations officially recognized July 30 as International Friendship Day; However most countries celebrate the first Sunday of August Gust! Moreover, with the rise of social media connecting us more than ever, Friendship Day hashtags give everyone a chance to get involved wherever they are in the world.

As per the Friendship Day Declaration, we are invited to properly celebrate this day in accordance with the culture and other appropriate circumstances or customs of their local, national and regional communities, including education and public awareness raising activities. ”

This sounds like a very red tape and bureaucracy when something omnipresent happens as Friendship Day, it’s really something to celebrate. Cultures around the world mean that no one will celebrate like this day, and it is a wonderful event.
