How to Get Gas Connection: In the 2021 budget, the government has given a new gift to women and said that 10 million new families will be added to the Ujjawala scheme, which means that one crore women will soon be able to avail the benefits of the Ujjawala scheme. It may be mentioned that under Pradhan Mantri Ujjawala Yojana, the government provides household cooking gas (LPG) connections to families living below the poverty line.
What is Pradhan Mantri Ujjawala Yojana
The Government of India will provide financial assistance of Rs.1600 to each eligible BPL family under the Ujjawala scheme.
This amount will be for purchasing LPG gas connection. Along with this, installment (EMI) facility will also be provided to meet the cost of purchasing stoves and filling LPG cylinders for the first time. How to apply for Pradhan Mantri Ujjawala Yojana?
Any woman from the BPL family can apply for a gas connection under the Ujjawala scheme. For this you have to fill up a KYC form and submit it to the nearest LPG Center. To apply in Ujjawala scheme, 2 page form, required documents, name, address, Jan Dhan bank account number, Aadhaar number etc. are required.
When applying, you also have to say whether you want to take a 14.2 kg cylinder or a 5 kg one.
