Your Bank Account: There is good news for you if your account is linked to Jandhan. State Bank of India (SBI), India’s largest bank, has announced accident insurance cover of up to Rs 2 lakh for Jandhan account holders. To avail this facility, you have to apply for Jan Dhan Card (SBI RuPay Jan Dhan Card) in the form of SBI.

On Friday, the SBI made the announcement based on its official tweet. At the same time, it was said, ‘Protect yourself on the public road. Apply for SBI Rupay Jan Dhan Card.
In Pradhan Mantri Jan-Dhan Yojana (PMJDY), account holders are allowed to maintain an average monthly balance. Under the scheme, rural and urban dwellers can also open their own bank accounts under the scheme.
In a written reply to a question in the Lok Sabha, Union Minister of State for Finance and Corporate Affairs Anurag Thakur said, “A total of 41.75 crore accounts have been opened across the country under the Pradhan Mantri Jandhan Yojana. Out of which 35.96 crore accounts are operative.
This way you can also open your account
If you also want to open your account under Pradhan Mantri Jan-Dhan Yojana, you will need an Aadhaar card. If the address given in the Aadhaar card has changed, an affidavit has to be filed for it. But if you do not have an Aadhaar card, you can open an account with water ID card, driving license, passport or even MNREGA card in other documents. If your current address has not changed in any of these documents then this is enough for your address and credentials.
