According to media reports, companies will no longer need to provide more documents for SIM cards. Now the SIM card will be activated only through OTP.

According to media reports, the telecom department has announced new guidelines for digital KYC. So the mobile company has to fill in the customer’s Latitude Longitude in the application form. The registration of the company will also have to be checked by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs. According to media reports, the companies will have to implement the new process within 30 days. Apart from this, there are indications that the new rules may be implemented soon for individual mobile customers as well.

Are there cases where you can’t port your number to another service provider? First, any postpaid users who have not paid their bills and have no outstanding balance will not be able to do so. Second, if you have been using the existing mobile service provider’s network for less than 90 days, you will need to re-apply for a valid MNP.

The new rule applies

According to the report, TRAI had earlier issued new guidelines on tariffs. Under which companies cannot hide information linked to tariffs. Tariff information must be complete and clear as per this guideline. The purpose of TRAI behind this is to bring transparency in mobile plans for the customers and help them to make a thoughtful decision. According to the information, the companies will have to implement this new guideline in 15 days.
