Std 10 & 12 syllabus: The University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) is a computer based examination ie online examination. It is held twice a year. Previously, this examination was conducted by the University Grants Commission (UGC), Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).

Now the Ministry of Human Resource Development has entrusted the responsibility of conducting this examination to the National Testing Agency. After December 2018, the examination is being conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Till then, the examination for 81 subjects was conducted by CBSE in 263 selected cities.

There used to be three papers earlier in the note examination which has now been reduced to two. The first paper is of 1 hour and the second paper is of 2 hours. The exam is conducted in two shifts for several days.

UGC NET will have two papers. In the first paper, there will be questions of General Aptitude. These are questions of general nature. Its purpose is to assess the ability of the candidate to teach or research. With this help, a candidate’s logical ability, understanding, different views and knowledge about common things are tested.

The application form (UGC NET 2020 exam) for UGC NET exam will be available only in online mode. Candidates will have to go to the official website and fill the application form and submit it. After the announcement of application dates, one can also apply through direct link. Candidates have to fill their details and upload the recent photographs and scanned copies of the application form on the application form.

After successfully submitting the form, take a print out of the confirmation page for future use. If something goes wrong while submitting the form, then it is also given an opportunity to correct again. The correction window is opened by NTA for a limited time. Within that limited time candidates can perform correction in their form. Std 10
